Presented in association with the Dramatic Publishing Co. of Woodstock, Illinois, Salt & Pepper, set in the 1950s, explores family, friendship and illiteracy. Salt’s grandfather cannot read or write. He is ashamed to tell anyone and his silence has had a devastating effect on the whole family.

The show consists of five RGV talents and seven members of the production team, including director Seres Jaime Magaña de McAllen.

“The story is well written and the actors we chose are natural in their performances, the audience feels all the emotions,” Magaña said. “We had standing ovations at our first three shows at our little theater in Pharr, and it just keeps getting better.”
